LOCAL ELECTION RESULTS ARE IN

We've gained two new Councillors at Burnley Borough Council with the addition of Lee Ashworth in Whittlefield and Ightenhill and Joanne Broughton in Hapton with Park

They'll both be a great addition in the Council.

Sadly Cosima Towneley was narrowly pipped to the post in Cliviger and Worsthorne losing out by just 39 votes. Given all she's done as a Councillor over the past 16 years we'd like to say a special thank you for her tireless service. Still representing us at County Hall she is far from down and out though!

Elsewhere we made progress in Lanehead and Queensgate finishing second place with some new additions to the team, which was the same in Gawthorpe.

And gained votes in every area of Burnley and Padiham.

Thank you to all those who put their trust in us this year. It really is appreciated. Our local team is all about getting the Council focused on the priorities of you the residents. And so whilst we still have a lot of work to do we'll continue to battle on, and together with our MP Antony Higginbotham do all we can to make our area the best place to live, work and study.
